Daniel Casallas Beltrán

I am a Colombian journalist and Sports Journalism MA student at the University of Brighton, specialising in multimedia storytelling and international sports coverage. My work combines reporting, research and digital production across written, audio and video formats.

With academic and professional experience spanning four continents, I am interested in telling global sports stories that explore not only competition and performance, but also the social, cultural and human issues shaping sport. I have covered football, basketball and major international sporting events, producing content ranging from breaking news and live coverage to feature stories and interviews.

My experience includes work with Sky Sports News, Overtime Online and GameDayU, where I have contributed to reporting, editorial planning, research and multimedia production. I am particularly interested in cross-platform journalism and the role of sport as a lens through which to understand the world.
